Sturt Street Men
Adelaide Christian Centre has a fantastic men’s ministry and in August 2015, we gathered again with visiting ministry from the USA, Dr Stan De Koven. Dr Stan spoke about the subject of manhood and fatherhood, and honestly shared from his experiences and the Word. The men enjoyed fellowship, food and the great facility at Temple Christian College.
We welcome all men to be involved with our men’s community. We have two events per year and we are looking forward to 2016. Here is some feedback from our recent gathering.
“I admire Dr Stan’s frankness and courage to speak about his personal struggles and challenges and how with the help of our Lord, he dealt with it. I have learned that in our walk through life with the Lord, there would always be trials and frustrations but it is in our willingness to stand up and shake off the dust whenever we fall during tests that a true man is measured.” – Orbille
“One of the things that stuck out to me was as men, we are given the responsibility to LOVE. Not looking for anything in return, or finding a reason to be motivated to love or be proactive on it, but just to love. It is so very easy to say but hard to do, but grace is there that will make it possible. Everyday surrender to the Holy Spirit is the key. Renewing of the mind every day and speaking life into your own life, declares something that only His sons can do – and that is to love unconditionally by renewing our mind to that of Christ’s. Believing every time the enemy attacks, that we have the new nature put on, and the armour of God – and that we should act accordingly from this platform.” – Vinnie
