India Missions Trip 2019

After visiting the preschool we endured another eventful road trip to the Colombo airport to board our midnight flight onto Delhi, India.

After an overnight flight and couple of hours rest in Delhi, we jumped straight back onto a plane and flew onto Imphal in the state of Manipur. This is where we have a Bible school, Evangelos International Training Institute (EITI), with about 18 young men and women as students.

During our visit to EITI, we were very impressed with the students and their heart for God and their keenness to pursue all that the Lord has for them.

Purnima is the principal of the Bible school. She had an operation a couple of days before we arrived where she had a number of gall stones and her gall bladder. When we were there she was resting and recovering after the surgery. It was wonderful to visit her to encourage and pray for her.

As you know we have been supporting Purnima financially for a while now. She is worth every cent, and more, that we give to support her! She is an inspiring young lady.

Our time with the staff and students was really wonderful and a number of them received the baptism in the Holy Spirit during our time with them.

On Sunday the 10th of March we visited and ministered at Pr Daimai’s church. This was fun and we enjoyed the wonderful hospitality and fellowship with the congregation after the service.

From Inphal we flew back to Delhi for two days where we spent time with Eunice and Stephen who run Rahab Centre for Hope. This is an amazing ministry reaching out and rescuing young women who come from an abused or abandoned background.

Kelly, Mikeala and I flew to Siliguri on the Wednesday, in the state of West Bengal. We visited the World Missions Faith Training School.

It was great to visit the staff and students and to have the opportunity to fellowship with them. It was also great to encourage them all. They are a great group of staff and students.

Although it was only a short stay, it was worth the effort and cost to visit these amazing young people. We as a church support this mission’s school $500 per month. Once again, this fantastic ministry is worth every dollar we give and more!

From Siliguri we made our long trek back home whilst Neville and Jenni spent some more time in India. This was a whirlwind trip and it was very rewarding. Thank you church for releasing us to go and follow up and visit all those who we support in Sri Lanka and India. We are a very generous church and I super proud to be in this ACC family!
