In recent times the church has moved forward and now continues to grow and is a vibrant city based Pentecostal or Charismatic church with a significant influence in Adelaide and the nations.
A significant part of the mandate of the church is Christian Education. Leo Harris had a vision for Christian Education and plans were developed in 1976 and 1977 for a Christian School. Sunrise Christian School was founded in 1978.
Global Missions has been an integral part of the vision of Adelaide Christian Centre since the early 1960’s. As a church, we have seen a number of missionaries and many workers being deployed to Papua New Guinea and to other parts of the world. This vision continues today through prayer, financial and practical support in the endeavor to pioneer new frontiers for the Kingdom of God.
Christian Education
What are we doing in Christian Education?
Since 1978 Sturt Street has been involved in providing Christ-centred Christian Education to people in South Australia.
From humble beginnings Sunrise Christian School began as a primary school at 95 Wattle Street, Fullarton, SA – and started to grow.
Messenger to the Nation
Sending missionaries has been an integral part of the vision of Adelaide Christian Centre since the early 1960’s. As a church, we have seen a number of missionaries and many workers being deployed to Papua New Guinea and to other parts of the world.
This vision continues today through prayer, financial and practical support in the endeavor to pioneer new frontiers for the Kingdom of God.
Mission Trips
Short term missions trips are part of our DNA and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Each year we go out into our city, nation and around the world to serve, build, love, help, teach, equip and do whatever we can to make a difference.
